Slide 2:
Build for yourself a strong box,fashion each part with care;When it’s strong as your hand can make it,put all your troubles there;
Slide 3:
Hide there all thought of your failures;and each bitter cup that you quaff;Lock all your heartaches within it,Then sit on the lid and laugh.
Slide 4:
Tell no one else its contents,Never its secrets share;When you’ve dropped in your care and worrykeep them forever there;
Slide 5:
Hide them from sight so completelyThat the world will never dream half;Fasten the strongbox securely—Then sit on the lid and laugh.

This poem was typical of the “stuff it” mentality up to and through the 1950’s. Liberation from having to keep oneself locked up in the pursuant years helped people to become better balanced mentally. Sharing of oneself to others is healing. We learn the universality of our experiences by sharing, and by becoming empathetic and patient about our common situations.
Slide 7:
I think I need to just relax and not get so upset over things I can’t control, that is why I shared this poem with you.
Hope you enjoyed it.
