Maybe you read about someone doing something really inspiring that got you thinking, or perhaps you’ve been asked by a friend or relative. Sometimes we see inspiration in many things that revolve around us or have dreams about ourselves doing inspiring things that we remember vaguely when we wake the following morning, inevitably fading with each passing day. Many of us have contemplated the root of our inspiration at some stage, but how often do we really take time to think about it and seek out the things that give us passion and momentum? If you’re anything like me, you may relate to the feeling of complacency when you’re comfortable in a routine and find it hard to find the inspiration to challenge yourself and work toward your goals and aspirations. As I started creating this presentation, I looked up the definition of Inspire on Dictionary.com . Inspire can mean the following... to fill with an animating or exalting influence; to produce a feeling or thought; and to animate, as an influence, feeling, or thought.PowerPoint Presentation: I am inspired by flowers. I’m a huge flower fan! When my mom was around our house was always filled with some kind of flower arrangement! I love all sorts of flowers but today I am especially inspired by thistle. It’s not the most common flower out there and definitely not the image that immediately comes to mind, but thistle is beautiful in it’s own way. Mixing it with softer florals makes for a gorgeous contrast that I just love and the prickly needles and pedals can make a stunning bouquet or centerpiece! It’s unique, elegant, and one of my absolute favorites! In the language of flowers, the thistle is an ancient Celtic symbol of nobility of character as well as of birth.PowerPoint Presentation: I am inspired by intricate detail. It could be something a person crafted, but more likely it’s something in nature. I’m talking about when there is more to something than meets the eye, maybe with more than one story to tell. Who can fail to marvel at the shape of a leaf, the sleek power of a cheetah, the dance of two bodies connecting? Nature never ceases to amaze me-- creating an undeniable sense of wonder and appreciation for all life. In a world awash in beeps, flashes, messages and talking heads, seeing how other life carries on the great circle makes us humble and grounds us. .PowerPoint Presentation: I am inspired by acts of kindness. Have you ever had someone do something nice for you just for the hell of it? Kindness is love in action. Kindness is giving, forgiving, blessing. Kindness flows from an appreciation of the abundance we have within, and flows out, returning a hundred fold in totality, spirit, soul and mind. Kindness oils the grind of daily life and makes life worth living .PowerPoint Presentation: I am inspired by music. The way an artist can work with sound to make me want to move. Do you have that one part, in that one song, where you always stop, turn up the volume, and sing out loud? I have that with a lot of songs. I have different music that I listen to when I’m writing, working on my PC or while I’m driving. Music has always inspired my creative thought, it lifts me up, or takes me down. Some songs inspire greatness others love and most heroism. I am a true lover of music.PowerPoint Presentation: I am inspired by movies. Movies that portray uplifting stories that inspire love and compassion, films that connect us with the world around us. I go for drama, comedy, romance or action feature films. However, my movies are carefully-chosen to provide genuine nourishment for the heart and soul, a much-needed nutrient at a time when more and more movies are violent, profane and devoid of meaning. I seek movies that inspire wonder, insight, deep feeling and transcendence. Above all, they make me feel better about being a human being.PowerPoint Presentation: I am inspired by health. I find that Health is a positive concept emphasizing social and personal resources, as well as physical capacities. It is the general condition of my mind, my body and spirit, always trying to be free from illness, injury or pain. The maintenance and promotion of health is achieved through different combination of physical, mental , and social well-being. I have come to realize that health influences my status as an individual, my lifestyle, and economic and social conditions.PowerPoint Presentation: I am inspired by the unknown. I take a walk. No destination. Just right foot, left foot, right foot. No thinking. Oblivious to everything but stop lights and traffic signals. It is daunting and purifying simultaneously. Why haven't I ever felt like this before? Did standing on the brink of the unknown open up senses that I once thought had abandoned me? What does it mean to have clenched teeth and fists without anyone to be angry with, but myself ? Who does that? Am I crazy? Have I been projecting my anger onto those in my circle? Probably so.PowerPoint Presentation: I am inspired by colours . What would life be like if colors did not exist? Perhaps a more fascinating question is what is the significance that colors play in our life and how are our emotions associated to different colors? I associate the color white with peace, red can mean love, passion or anger, yellow tends to indicated friendship and green is associated to envy. Without relying on generalizations or expressions such as "green with envy" or "black as hell" I think there are other specific ways we can use colors to, for example, inspire us, or one's that make us more creative, or more relaxed? I do not have any prejudices towards a particular colour , but green is my favourite .PowerPoint Presentation: I am inspired by my grandchildren. Yes, I am inspired by the 3 of them, 2 boys and a girl, that I am so lucky to play with ever so often. Their energy, creativity, intelligence, and love for life. They inspire me to take it in and share it with the world. Every day I watch as they not only get stronger together, but each individual gains so much of his or her own identity. I am inspired by what they are gaining from each other and the new relationship that is unfolding.PowerPoint Presentation: Thanks for watching.
