q Dry needling is an invasive procedure which involves inserting a thin filament needle into the skin and muscle directly at a Myofascial trigger point. q The evidence base dry needling in various areas of physiotherapy has increased substantially over the past decade. q Dry needling can be used for a variety of musculoskeletal problems. q Neuromuscular dysfunction and imbalances are thought to be a primary contributing factor to the symptoms.
