Word associations. :Word associations. Another great way to remember terms and ideas is to associate them with words that we already know.
This site gives you practice on associating words.
http://www.wordassociation.org/
Practice this strategy by taking your own terms from class and making acronyms and doing word associations for them.
This will extend your vocabulary and make studying and taking the test a game of remembering that you will win.
Don’t forget flash cards. :Don’t forget flash cards. Studies have shown that you need to see words and terms multiple times in order to learn them.
Make flash cards to help you study.
Write the term on one side and the definition with examples on the back.
Flash cards only take a few minutes to study and they are easy to take with you on the way to class.
Flash cards work. :Flash cards work. What always helped me was to have a friend quiz me with them.
If you would rather go it alone here is some good practice.
This website has not only a huge base of premade flash cards, but you can make your own and access them online.
