Take it Apart! Are you having trouble understanding words in your textbook or homework? Learn to take words apart to discover their meaning by using root words, prefixes, and suffixes! Presentation Created by Elizabeth Mattingly, LTCY 524

I’m sure you’re thinking…prefixes, suffixes, and root words??? I learned those in elementary school! Why would I waste my time? Trust me, you’ll be surprised on how many of them you’ve forgotten and how much they will help you with college vocabulary. Take a look!

Root words : 

Root words A root word is the most basic form of a word that is able to convey a particular description, thought or meaning.
