Slide 2:THE World Heritage Committee meeting in Quebec City added George Town to UNESCO’s World Heritage List on the morning of 7 July 2008.
George Town's built heritage comprises architectural traditions adapted to local conditions from both East and West.
Its historic core has the largest concentration of pre-World War II architecture in Southeast Asia.
Slide 3:Over the last 222 years, a unique way of life based upon East-West exchanges has developed here.
The influences of Asia and Europe have endowed the city with a specific multicultural heritage.
We provide here information on various attractions in the George Town World Heritage Site (WHS), drawing a lot on information already published on the Internet
