The principle of investment says that if you invest or give something, you will receive it back many times over. The Scripture expresses this principle again and again. “sows” = work; labor; endurance “Invest” = put in; devote What do you want? Sow it. Invest it!

2 Corinthians 9:7 “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give …” It is well-planned and decided; not a spur of the moment When you have decided to give/invest it is no longer out of compulsion or with grudge; not out of accident; no hesitation, but with determination and cheerfulness. That’s why Jesus said, “I love a cheerful giver.”

Giving begins with the realization that “from Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity.” Romans 11:36 In other words, He is the source, the means and the goal of all of life.

Ephesians 1:14 God invest in us to make known the glorious riches of the mystery, which is Christ in us, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27

INVEST “FIRST” F = I = R = S = T = Financial (treasures, money) Intellect (talents, grow in grace & knowledge by studying God’s word, devotional) Relationship (intimacy with God, family, friends, etc) Spirit (feeding the spirit – creativity, inner strength) Time (prayer, availability, physical stamina, health)
