Conclusion Nutrient cycles are one of the most efficient processes that go on in the ecosystem. We all know how essential these nutrients are for life processes. But it is a fact that these nutrients cannot be used by us the way they are present in nature. Therefore to fulfill this need, biogeochemical cycles come into consideration. Without these cycles we wouldn’t be able to use the nutrients to survive and as a result, organisms will become extinct. It is important to know about these cycles because they are the base of life on earth. For instance let us take water. If we are thirsty we can drink water. But if there were no Water cycle how would we get rain? Another example could be of Nitrogen. Nitrogen present in the atmosphere can’t be used by the plants unless it is converted into a mineral by the bacteria.
