ABSTRACT:

ABSTRACT Now a days man suffers lot due to overweight and energy loss. And lack of time to spend in an outside gym to overcome this. In this project we constructed an indoor gym cycle by pedaling to increase general fitness, and to avoid obesity.

Exercise is one of most important factors in the overall health of an individual. For physiological effects, e.g. Reduction in stress, increase cardiovascular efficiency, loosing weight:

Thus we have planned to design an exercise bike. It is one of the most useful machine and very effective to give out an efficiency work. :

EXERCISE CYCLE:

EXERCISE CYCLE These are the most affordable forms of fitness equipments. These were used in physiotherapy as they do not have an adverse effect. Ideal for excessively overweight people. And mainly it can be worked out even at the home.

SEAT OR SADDLE It is the place to rest your rump . If you're using an upright or a group cycling bike, the triangle-shaped saddle rests between your legs. HANDLE BARS Able to adjust the height of the handlebars so that we can maintain an upright position while cycling.

PEDALS AND CRANK ARMS Pedals provide you with a place to rest your feet while cycling. The crank arms connect the pedals to the bicycle and allow for the rotational movement of the pedals. WHEELS The wheels are rotated by the rotational movement of the pedals.

CONSTRUCTION:

CONSTRUCTION secure front and rear stabilizer to main frame and attach it with carriage bolts, washers, and dome nuts. slide the handlebar post into the main frame and tighten the plastic adjustable knob to secure. Slide the seat bar into the seat post and tighten the plastic knob .

OPERATION:

OPERATION Adjust the seat to get into a fit position by the help of adjusting knob and make the complete pedal stroke Can able to increase or decrease the load by turning the knob. While exercising, Pacing is essential because this will determine the rate or speed that matches one's abilities in order to sustain the workout.

EXERCISE INTENSITY:

EXERCISE INTENSITY It is important to exercise with the proper intensity, the proper intensity level can be found by using your heart rate as a guide. For effective aerobic exercise, your heart rate should be maintained at a level between 70% and 85% of your maximum heart rate as you exercise. This is known as your target zone.

CONCLUSION:

CONCLUSION The gym cycle is designed and fabricated is in a valuable low cost. We have successfully demonstrated both the details about design, operation and benefits etc. These types of exercises gives health and reduces the cholesterol in the body. These exercise were meaned for all aged members and even though for the unskilled peoples.
