Generation Gap Made By :- Vishv Garg

WHAT IS GENERATION GAP??:

WHAT IS GENERATION GAP?? The generational gap is and was a term popularized in Western countries during the 1960s referring to differences between people of a younger generation and their elders, especially between children and parents.

Slide 3:

E very generation has a point of view that is different from the previous generation, and the previous generation invariably does not agree to this point of view. A generation gap can be simply explained as the younger generation feeling that it is right, while the older generation(s) assumes that the younger one is wrong .

GENERATION GAP - A BOON OR BANE FOR SOCIETY??

PROS:-:

PROS:- A dvantage of a generation gap is that a younger person could learn from the wisdom and experience that an older person has acquired with age.

Slide 6:

EXPERIENCE

EXAMPLE:

EXAMPLE Grown children often boast a better education and more secure finances than their parents, while the older generation may be richer in experience.

CONS:-:

CONS:- Too much of interference may prove to be harmful for child’s proper social growth.

EXAMPLE:

EXAMPLE Many seniors cannot understand the need of the younger generation to use technology in order to communicate when the good old snail mail or telephone is available . On the other hand, younger people cannot understand why many older people object to computer games, social networking and cell phones.

CONCLUSION:-:

CONCLUSION:- In order to overcome the generation gap, trust is important. This means that the person should trust another person to give positive feedback. The feedback, in turn, can help a person learn. However, no one likes a change and when differences occur between individuals, it leads to roadblocks and causes problems in the relationship.

Slide 11:

Trying to remove the roadblocks that could hinder the formation of a trusting relationship is the key to bridging the generation gap.
