Can we believe that the whole Britannica encyclopedia can be stored in a pin tip, No, we can’t But it is possible due to the development of the NANO technology ,by the use of the DI-ATOM(Kensandhage-OHIO University).
The beginning of the NANO exploration resulted in a new wave in the society in the form of CYBORGS, NANO tubes, Electricity generating from pipe water(Indian Institute of Bangalore) etc. What is NANO TECHNOLOGY ? : What is NANO TECHNOLOGY ? Nanotechnology, shortened to "nanotech", is the study of the controlling of matter on an atomic and molecular scale of size10-9m.
The materials in nanometer scale posses novel properties such as high efficiency & capacity than the normal materials.
Nanotechnology involves imaging, measuring, modeling, and manipulating matter at this length scale.

It consists of NANO processors ,NANO RAMS, HIGH CAPACITY STORAGE H.D.D, etc
NANO RAM a nonvolatile random access memory based on the mechanical position of carbon nanotubes deposited on a chip-like substrate.
The most common form of NANORAM today is Flash RAM, which combines a bi-stable transistor circuit known as a flip-flop with a high-performance insulator.
The read and write process are both "low energy" in comparison to DRAM meaning that NANO RAM can result in longer battery life in conventional devices. NANO PROCESSORS : NANO PROCESSORS It decreases the size of the processors and also the motherboard design.
It provide more function than the existing processors, and also increase the workability (i.e.) It can do more than one operation with in a micro seconds.
It led to the development of the supercomputers of next generations.
Carbon nanotubes are allotropes of carbon with a cylindrical nanostructure.
Nanotubes have been constructed with length-to-diameter ratio of up to 28,000,000:1.
The nature of the bonding of a nanotube is described by applied quantum chemistry.
It used in the development of the new data and address bus in the computers and also used for the development of the new network cables for networking NANO FOLDING SCREEN’S : NANO FOLDING SCREEN’S NANO displays in use, today require a fraction of the energy needed to power comparable Plasma or LCD.

Also new materials, along with nanosensors and nanorobots could improve the performance of spaceships, spacesuits and equipment used to explore planets and moons, making a big difference on the ‘final frontier.'
NASA has included a concept called self healing spaceships in their 2030 nanotechnology roadmap. NANO SATELLITE’S : NANO SATELLITE’S The term "nanosatellite" or "nanosat" is usually applied to the name of an artificial satellite with a wet mass between 1 and 10 kg (2.2–22 lb).
Designs and proposed designs of these types usually have multiple nanosatellites working together.
Manufacturers of nanosatellites include ISIS and UTIAS-SFL.
Besides the cost issue, the main reason for the use of miniaturized satellites is the opportunity to enable missions that a larger satellite could not accomplish, such as:

Nanoshells may be used to concentrate the heat from infrared light to destroy cancer cells with minimal damage to surrounding healthy cells.
Quantum Dots may be used in the future for locating cancer tumors in patients and in the near term for performing diagnostic tests. APPLICATIONS OF NANOTECHNOLOGY : APPLICATIONS OF NANOTECHNOLOGY Tissue engineering using nanomaterial might replace today’s conventional treatments like organ transplants or artificial implants.
The application potential of nanoparticles in catalysis ranges from fuel cell to catalytic converters and photo catalytic devices.
Because of the relatively low energy density of batteries the operating time is limited and a replacement or recharging is needed by NANO BATTERIES.
The Quantum computer has quantum bit memory space termed "QUBIT" using Quantum algorithms.
Using nanotech applications, refineries producing materials such as steel and aluminium will be able to remove any impurities in the materials they create.
Nanoceramic particles have improved the smoothness and heat resistance of common household equipment such as the flat iron. CONCLUSION : CONCLUSION NANO the new era of the civilization is now in our threshold . NANO a super industrial technology which shrinks the world to the size of a ball. The contribution of the NANO will enhance the future needs like exploration in the various scenario like space, human resourses, data warehouse, nano computers etc,. It is a need ,so, in the society it is a must to go with this exploration.
