Scenario:

Scenario You are a 7 th grade classroom teacher teaching a lesson on science. You are teaching ONE of the TEKS objective/skills during the lesson. The edublog is a follow-up to that lesson. The post will refer to what the lesson was about and the TEKS objective. The internet activities will reinforce what was taught in the classroom. The activities will be engaging so the students will be “doing” something at the website; clicking on the screen, inserting text, etc.

Step 3: Create instructional post This week we are studying about plants and photosynthesis. This subject is part of the 7th grade TEKS where we will investigate how photosynthesis is an example of the transformation of radiant energy from the Sun into chemical energy. The following internet activities will assist you in learning more about photosynthesis: 1. Watch the John Kyrk animation on photosynthesis. Use the arrow button to move through the animation. Look for rollover labels to explore the animation. 2. Explore how a plant produces oxygen with the Photosynthesis Lab Gizmo . 3. Try the Photosynthesis Game from the Earthguide resources website. Click the “How to Play” button to understand how to play the game.
