INTRODUCTION:

INTRODUCTION Mobile data communication has become a very important and rapidly evolving technology as it allows users to transmit data from remote locations to other remote or fixed locations. This proves to be the solution to the biggest problem of business people on the move - mobility.

What is mobile computing?:

What is mobile computing? A technology that allows transmission of data, via a computer, without having to be connected to a fixed physical link.

Voice communication:

Voice communication The objective of mobile telecommunication systems is to provide communication between mobile distant persons.

MULTI DOMAIN SERVICE:

MULTI DOMAIN SERVICE By using this service we not only access all services provided by network but also many uses can work at the same time.

Applications:

Applications Vehicles Emergencies Traveling saleman Web access Location awareservice Entertainment Disconnected operations

Advantages:

Advantages Location flexibility Saves time Enhanced productivity Ease of research Entertainment

CHALLENGES:

CHALLENGES Connection/Disconnection Low bandwidth Variable bandwidth Low power and resources Security risks Fit more functionality into single smaller devices

Limitations:

Limitations Insufficient bandwidth Security standards Power consumption Transmission interference

Research issues:

Research issues Seamless connectivity over multiple overlays Scalable mobile processing Wireless communication Mobility Portability

CONCLUSION:

CONCLUSION This paper presents an analysis of the evolutionary path of mobile services from early voice communications to prospects of future service possibilities. Each of the concepts discussed around mobile services in this paper are on their own and of research and they must be further elaborated in separate studies. Mobile computing has several limitations however it is far from impossible, and technology improves all the time. Lots of challenges some have good solutions, many other are still waiting to be solved.
