Henry Ford (1863-1947) :Henry Ford (1863-1947) The founder of the Ford motor company. He was born on Spring Wells Township in Ireland In 1891, Ford became an engineer with the Edison Illuminating company and became a chief engineer. In 1903, Ford incorporated the Ford Motor Company. He died in 1947 of a Cerebral Hemorrhage at the age of 83.

The Ford Foundation :The Ford Foundation Henry Ford, with his son Edsel founded the Ford foundation in 1936 with a broad charter to promote human welfare.Ford splited his stock into a small number of voting shares , which he gave to his family and a large number of non voting shares he gave to the foundation. It grew immensely and by 1950 had become international in scope.It gradually sold all its shares on stock market from 1955 through 1974.So he was considered as a pioneer of ‘welfare capitalism’.
