PCS Treatment in Florida If you have ever experienced varicose veins in your legs or arms you know the pain that comes with them. However did you know that varicose veins may also form in your pelvis and lower abdomen When they form in these areas the condition is referred to as Pelvis Congestion Syndrome or PCS. PCS is a common and painful condition that develops in nearly 30 of women across the country. In order to better serve our patients our staffs at the USA Vascular Centers are opening up additional practices throughout the state of Florida When searching for pelvic congestion syndrome treatment an in-depth complete diagnosis is necessary for a successful recovery. This diagnosis will include how your PCS developed and which treatment option is best suited for you. For most women PCS develops when there is insufficient flow in the veins within the pelvis. Insufficient flow leads to blood collecting in the veins causing swelling and pressure throughout the abdomen and pelvis. There are several ways for our medical staff to test you for PCS. First we will outline your symptoms and offer general insight into the problem. Next we visualize your abdomen and pelvis by using one of three methods. These methods include a

transvaginal ultrasound scan an external scan and an MRI and CT scan. Each method provides a different level of insight into your pelvic region your veins and your abdomen. Once we have collected the necessary information regarding your symptoms we will offer treatment options. While some patients may be prescribed medication or simple lifestyle changes others will require a non- surgical procedure called “embolization.” Like PAD treatment embolization uses a small needle that is inserted into your veins via your neck. The thread is then passed down into the affected veins in your pelvis with the help of an ultrasound machine. Once at the affected vein a small tube is released causing the vein to become permanently blocked migrating blood flow through alternate veins. The affected vein deteriorates over time and turns into scar tissue later to be absorbed by the surrounding tissue. Within the weeks following the procedure your symptoms will begin to alleviate and disappear altogether Along with pelvic congestion syndrome treatment our clinics also provide PAD doctors in Florida. Peripheral artery disease while mostly common in men can also develop in women. Like PCS treatment our PAD doctors in Florida resolve PAD by inserting a small metal stent into the blocked vein via a ultrasound- guided needle through your veins. This non-surgical procedure allows blood to flow normally again will little to no complications. Contact USA Vascular Centers 12840 Riverside Drive Suite 300 Valley Village CA 91607 844-723-7240
