Introduction : 

Introduction You know that your students are tech savvy, but are unsure of technology yourself. You know that there is viable technology available, but are unsure of how to access it. You know that technology will allow for differentiation, but are unsure of how it will support the curriculum.

Task : 

Task You will acquire knowledge about multi – media to use in your classroom with your students. You will use websites, colleagues, & students, to… discover each type of multi – media. locate & use multi – media websites. discuss the use of multi – media with colleagues. create your own multi – media (for FREE)!

Process : 

Process With a buddy… learn what multi – media is browse teacher sites that use multi – media, &… discuss how the multi – media is being used. discuss how students could benefit from the media. browse free multi – media sites, &… watch video demonstrations. discuss how you would like to use the media in your classroom. On your own… decide which type of multi – media you would like to use, & get started. use the multi-media with your students & witness the results!

What is Multi – Media? In short, multi – media is more than 1 media. Yet, you may be wondering… what precisely each type of media is! Blogs Claymation Photo Stories Pod Casts WebQuests Websites Wiki Pages How might each type of media enrich the curriculum?

Teacher Sites : 

Teacher Sites These teacher – created sites illustrate how multi-media is used in their classrooms. Beth Newingham Bob Sprankle Tracy Mercier How do the teachers use multi-media? In what ways did their students benefit from using multi-media? What did you see that you would like to try with your students?

Multi – Media Sites : 

Multi – Media Sites These multi – media can be used in the classroom. Many of the sites have video demonstrations, & typically have 3 steps to start your own. Blog Sites These sites can be used to create your own blog! Some of them have video demonstrations where others have detailed directions.

Photo Story Sites : 

Photo Story Sites These sites can be used to create your own photo story! Once you publish the photo photo story on your computer, you can upload the video to YouTube & Google Video to easily share it with families or add it to your blog, wiki, or website! Graphic Organizer

Pod Cast Sites : 

Pod Cast Sites These sites can be used to create your own pod casts! Some of them have video demonstrations where others have detailed directions. Often your listeners will have the option of subscribing to your pod cast through iTunes! Graphic Organizer

WebQuest Sites : 

WebQuest Sites These sites can be used to help you create your own WebQuest! If you decide to create a WebQuest using PowerPoint you could upload your file to your blog, wiki, or website. Graphic Organizer

Website Sites These sites can be used to create your own website! Some of them have video demonstrations where others have detailed directions.
