In the LOL you should include the answer to your daily question (if applicable), key concepts, vocabulary, and explanations of the daily objectives. The LOL is a summary of what you want students to be accountable for learning. How do you assess notebooks? : Notebooks Scientific How do you assess notebooks? Some possible assessments could include; reviewing the notebooks' content at the end of a chapter/unit based on the teacher's guidelines, periodic open notebook quizzes, occasional spot checking of the notebooks by the teacher, & peer review of the notebooks. The notebook shows parents a visual representation of what their child has accomplished in science class. It is a daily record of what students are expected to know and do. If a student misses a lesson, the teacher can easily print out the notebook page and the child can tape it in their notebook.
