Habit 1 Be Proactive Can Your Child…. Say and notice words that rhyme? Hold a pencil and write with it? Recognize letter sounds? Identify letters of the alphabet? Select familiar books and tell why he or she likes them? Recognize, say and print his or her first name?

Habit 1 Be Proactive Can Your Child…. Recognize and count up to ten items? Recognize the number symbols 1-10? Describe and talk about objects that have different sizes, colors, shapes, and patterns? Sort items by “same” and “different?”

Habit 2 Begin With the End in Mind:

Habit 2 Begin With the End in Mind Can Your Child…. Stay involved in a directed activity to its completion?

Habit 3 Put First Things First:

Habit 3 Put First Things First Can Your Child…. Work on a job or chore before he or she plays?
