MEETING WITH AN AUTHOR - NOVEMBER We met Omur Ceylan, the Vice Dean of Kultur University Faculty of Science and Literature . He had written several books about traditional Turkish literature and history . He had a seminar about ‘ LOVE IN THE LANGUAGE OF MEVLANA’
SEMINAR REGARDING MEVLANA:
SEMINAR REGARDING MEVLANA Celaleddin Celik conducted a seminar regarding the life and philosophy of ‘MEVLANA’ He took questions from the students and satisfied their queries
SCHOOL TRIP TO KONYA:
SCHOOL TRIP TO KONYA We had a school trip to Konya - the workplace of MEVLANA . We visited Mevlana Museum and joined commemoration of Mevlana Ceremony which is held on 17th December every year We along with the help of students prepared the script for our project for performance .
PROJECT DIVIDENDS:
PROJECT DIVIDENDS A librarian is on duty all the time The number of volunteer students have increased dramatically We have increased the number of activities in the library. The number of users our library has increased dramatically since we reorganised it. More books have been purchased and donated to the library
LIBRARY DIVISION OF ISTANBUL:
LIBRARY DIVISION OF ISTANBUL We have established a new division dedicated to Istanbul. That was realised thanks to the Istanbul Schools Competition in 2010. 60 books were donated by Istanbul 2010 ECOC Agency 542books and two encyclopedias were purchased in 2010.
