Brooking “I do this for me” Slide 2: In that mindset Mr. Brooking adheres to no school or style. He follows the spirit of Sankofa creating figurative and nonfigurative abstract images. This show presents examples of his nonfigurative works. Slide 3: His uses computer software inventively, and color and light to create diverse images from the same starting image. Color and light, and its absence, present him and observant viewers with opportunities to "see" and appreciate almost infinite image possibilities. Slide 4: Alone in New York on 9/11 Depicts the destroyed twin towers and my nephew who died in the destruction of the first tower as a third tower. Slide 5: And the earth was without form Slide 6: And God said "Let there be light” Slide 7: Black Matte One of many shades of black I explore.
