NW Washington DC Slide 3: Golden Galleon, a two masted cutty rigged schooner sitting on the head of a diamond is typical of the dimensions of his micro sculptures. Slide 4: Mr. Wigan "At times, when I'm working on a piece, I might come to believe that I myself am microscopic. That's how involved in my work I become. My tiny world becomes everything to me.” Slide 5: His sculptures are undetectable to the eye yet, when viewed through high power magnification, a viewer is truly mesmerized. Slide 6: Mr. Wigans sculpts while in a kind of meditative state and between heartbeats to avoid hand tremors. Slide 7: His tools are unique, comprising for example: a shard of diamond drilled into the head of a pin and a single eyelash or a hair from a fly. Slide 8: He sculpts iconic figures like the Statue of Liberty, Elvis, the Titanic, Henry VIII and Lloyds of London’s Headquarters.
