Alfonso Mestidio Jesus Garcia Background: Background The United States has a federal presidential representative democracy, meaning that representatives are elected to represent the people. Event 1: Event 1 EVENT : George Washington would have never been the first president, or king. EVIDENCE : George Washington hated the monarchy system and wouldn’t become what he fought against. Event 2: Event 2 EVENT : Eventually the king would gain too much power and become corrupt. Many people would become unhappy with him and revolt. EVIDENCE : Many kings, such as the king of France, ruled only to keep themselves wealthy and in power. Event 3: Event 3 EVENT : The country would remain small for a longer period of time. EVIDENCE : Rome was a large kingdom, but it was hard to control for only one person to control. It fell as a result. Conclusion: Conclusion In conclusion, if the United States had a monarchy form of government, then it wouldn’t be the same country.
