Each instructor must also provide 12 – 15 questions for a test at the end of the class. Some instructors have found it helpful to provide discussion questions at the end of each lesson. Students are encouraged to email the instructor for questions and discussion. Open Office Impress : Open Office Impress 1. Go to Start 2. Then All Programs 3. Open Office.org 2.4 4. OpenOffice.org Impress Impress set-up : Impress set-up Open and Use the Presentation : Open and Use the Presentation Choose a layout that you like Add Text : Add Text Just click in the box and begin to type. Add Picture : Add Picture Double click here to add a picture. This window will pop-up for you to find your photo. Add Picture : Add Picture Or you may go to Insert>Picture> From File Add Sound : Add Sound Plug in your microphone The headphones plug (1) may be identified by one of the following characteristics: Colored Black or Green or Blue Displays a headphone logo Embossed with the word "phones" The microphone plug (2) may be identified by one or more of the following characteristics: Colored Pink or Red or Light Gray Displays a microphone logo Embossed with the word "mic" Once you know which plug is which you can find the matching jacks on your computer to plug them in. ( If you have a USB microphone or headset it will plug into a USB port which is a rectangular port identified the symbol Follow the installation instructions that come with your microphone.) Add Sound : Add Sound At the top of the screen go to eVoice> Insert Add Sound : Add Sound This window will appear. Press Rec. to talk. Then Stop Play to listen to what you have. Ok if it sounds right Cancel if it doesnt. Do this for each slide. Insert another slide : Insert another slide Insert a new slide and repeat procedure. Add Video : Add Video Insert > Movie and Sound Add Video : Add Video Find your video file . Click Open Add Video : Add Video Save And Close Your Presentation : Save And Close Your Presentation Click File > Save As. In the Save in: pull-down menu box, click My Documents (if it is not already selected). In the Save as type:" box, click OpenDocument Presentation (.odp) (if it is not already selected). In the File name: box, type My Slide Show . Click Save. (" My Slide Show" is saved. The file, "My Slide Show" is still on the screen.) Click File > Close.
