The Exam: 

The Exam RCP of London, Edinburgh & Glasgow have now become Federation with single common exam –The MRCP(UK) 3 exams till success PART 1-Written PART 2-Written PART 2- Clinical "PACES" Whole of MRCP(UK) can be completed in India (Chennai) itself without visiting the UK

Eligibility for part 1: 

Eligibility for part 1 1 year medical experience after MBBS graduation Needs support of a Proposer (Non MRCP acceptable) for all 3 exams

Eligibility for part 2 : 

Eligibility for part 2 Only a pass in PART 1 less than 7 years ago needed Written & PACES can be taken in any order Clinical experience not mandatory but advised. No need to do MD or DNB At least 2 years with 4 months in care of emergency medical patients strongly advised After passing exams (part 2 w & PACES), need testimonial signed by FRCP or MRCP of 8 years before diploma is awarded.

Cost : 

Cost Cost £579- around Rs 45,000-part 1 & part 2 written (each) PACES cost- £1,172 (Rs 90,000) Kindly check the latest exchange rates

SCE: 

SCE RCPs + Specialist societies in UK = Specialty Certificate Examination Similar to North American systems Ensures competency in specialties Tests knowledge deemed appropriate for newly appointed UK consultant Conducted in India through Pearson-Vue centers Provides excellent opportunity for training/ employment in said specialty Mandatory for CCT attainment for UK doctors / Also mandatory for CESR Possibility of post-nominal Membership e.g. MRCP-Nephrology

Eligibility for SCE: 

Eligibility for SCE MRCP(UK) only required for Dermatology & Geriatrics Anyone with MBBS can apply for the other specialties
