Slide 1:

Stay safe this Halloween kids By Wakanda Witch Kids love to go out trick-or- treating, but the world has changed since when we were kids. You have got to be more aware and consider everything you do Here are some top tips on ensuring a safe, enjoyable evening ALWAYS accompany your children whilst Trick-or-Treating; you simply do not know who will answer the door to your children Only go in well lit streets or neighbourhoods and stay close to other trick-or-treaters Plan your route; remember obstacles could exist that aren’t readily visible in the evening Only go to houses that have lights on; often people with no lights either are not in or do not want to be disturbed Between 6 to 8 is a respectable time to go trick or treating; many people do not like to be disturbed later at night. You should not trick or treat after 9pm www.mipmops.com

Slide 2:

Give your children a torch to play with. They’ll not only see but also be seen more easily. Mip Mops are currently working on a range of products to help with this... Try and avoid children running over peoples flowerbeds! Make sure you have all had tea before you go out; this will keep you all warmer and happier, and will stop children eating (quite) so many sweets Bring some juice or water; kids always get thirsty! Make sure kids go to the toilet BEFORE you set off Carry some baby wipes and tissues for any emergency! www.mipmops.com Make sure the kids know To ALWAYS look before leaving the pavement

Slide 3:

Make it clear to the kids that ALL sweets must be checked by a grown up before eaten...maybe carry the younger ones bags...just to take away that sweet temptation to put in mouth! Check for any choking hazard or tampered with sweets Check for flame-resistant labels on all costumes and accessories. Lots of people like to have lit pumpkins outside – but please still keep costumes away from candles! If you are making a costume for your child; make sure the length is not too long, that drags on the floor - This will help avoid your child tripping It is always nearly freezing this time of year, so make sure you and the kids are suitably dressed to keep warm Instead of using a mask, try face paints. Masks reduce visibility – if you do use a mask make sure they can see clearly before setting off Try and incorporate fluorescent colours into your childs costume – to make them more visible to motorists and other trick-or-treaters – if not get some reflective tape Wear sensible shoes www.mipmops.com enjoy
