How Firm A Foundation:

How Firm A Foundation Faith is the hope in that which has not been seen

What if there were no archaeological evidence?:

Supporting the Bible? Confirming the New Testament? Or a Historical record of Christian History down through the ages? Where would that leave the modern evangelical Believer? What if there were no archaeological evidence?

The Apostle Paul Taught:

Faith is the substance in things not seen: Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. If our faith is to be based on things not seen, on things that are hoped for and evidence of things not seen why, then, is it the claim of evangelical Christians that until they receive proof of Book of Mormon Cities Mormonism is false? The Apostle Paul Taught

Critic’s Claim Against the Book of Mormon:

Mormon Research Ministry states this: While many Mormons may feel that the Book of Mormon would have similar support from archaeological support in the Americas, they should understand that even the most common of items in their scripture’s pages have never be found. This includes swords (3 Nephi 1:18), scimitars (Alma 2:12), chariots (Alma 18:12), large buildings (Ether 10:5), many highways ( Helaman 14:24), forts (Alma 48:8), javelins (Alma 51:34), breastplates ( Mosiah 8:10), hand plates (Alma 46:13), compasses (Alma 37:38,44), trumpets (3 Nephi 13:2), chains (2 Nephi 1:13), hoes (Ether 10:25), and harps (2 Nephi 15:12). Critic’s Claim Against the Book of Mormon

Why the emphasis on Proof?:

The Atheist asks of the Christian – “ Show me proof to the reality of God, physical, empirical proof that God exists and then I will believe!” Jesus Christ taught that a wicked generation seeks after signs and wonders to convince them of Truth: “A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign” [Matthew 16:4] Why the emphasis on Proof?

Thomas the Doubter:

The Apostle Thomas refused to accept the testimony of the other disciples who related the truth of Christ’s bodily Resurrection: 24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus , was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. Thomas the Doubter

Faith In the Reality of Christ:

Even still, many evangelical Christians place their faith in Jesus Christ, His ministry, death, burial and resurrection without having empirical evidence to support their faith and hope. No Christian today has seen the Resurrected Savior No Christian today has seen his Crucifixion No Christian today has seen the mortal man known as Jesus of Nazareth. Yet, many believe in the reality of a man called Jesus the Christ without basing their faith and testimony on the evidence of His existence. Faith In the Reality of Christ

My Testimony:

I believe in the True and Living Savior – Jesus the Christ I believe that He did preach the Gospel, was crucified, buried, and rose with a physical body of flesh and bone I also believe that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God brought forth according to the divine appoint of our loving Heavenly Father as Another Testament of Jesus Christ My faith is not on empirical evidence, nor is it blind, but based on the one true evidence – Personal Revelation Moroni 10:4-5 teaches us that we can come to know for ourselves by humbling ourselves, being sincere and have a real true desire to know for ourselves whether or not these things are true. My Testimony
