Have Faith In God When You Pray :

Have Faith In God When You Pray

Slide 2:

Mark 11:22 “ Have faith in God.” Hebrews 11:6 “Without faith it is impossible to please Him.” Romans 14:23 “ Whatever is not of faith is sin.”

Slide 3:

So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. Matt 17:20 (NKJV)

Slide 4:

God wants us to see things as He sees things. We need “the eye of faith” We walk by faith not sight!

Slide 5:

1. Look at how important faith is. A. Can’t please God without it.  But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him Heb 11:6 (NKJV)

Slide 6:

B. Faith is commanded. He told them mountains could be moved with faith! C. Unbelief is always wrong.

Slide 7:

Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; Heb 3:12 (NKJV)

Slide 8:

In John 12:37-40 Jesus reminds us that refuse to believe will lead to a hard heart. Jesus rebuked the disciples for not walking in faith. In Mark 4:40 “ why do you have no faith?’

Slide 9:

In Luke 8:25 He said, “where is your faith?” Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him." Luke 8:18 (NKJV)

Slide 10:

D. With faith nothing is impossible. Mark 9:23 If you can believe, all things are possible.” Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Mark 11:24 (NKJV)

Slide 11:

2. What is faith? A. The object of faith is always God. B. God is willing. If God said it I believe it!

Slide 12:

C. Faith is activated on the mercy of God. In Matthew 15:22-28, She appealed to Jesus to heal her daughter based on His merciful nature.

Slide 13:

3. How do we grow in Faith? A. Spend time with God.  If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. John 15:7 (NKJV)

Slide 14:

Remember, faith comes by hearing the Word of God. B. The voice of the Holy Spirit. “My sheep know my voice.”

Slide 15:

C. Act on what we know: Giving- Luke 6:38 Going- Psalm 126:6 Go weeping and bearing seed, return rejoicing. Healing and bringing deliverance.

Slide 16:

4. Faith must be an action. A. A blind man  Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" 48 Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" 49 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, "Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you." 50 And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus. Mark 10:46-50 (NKJV)

Slide 17:

He not only believed something … he did something! B. Ten lepers. Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. 12 Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. 13 And they lifted up their voices and said, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!" 14 So when He saw them, He said to them, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed. 15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. 17 So Jesus answered and said, "Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? 18 Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?" 19 And He said to him, "Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well." Luke 17:11-19 (NKJV)

Slide 18:

5. Faith grows stronger when we believe the promises. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. 1 John 5:14-15 (NKJV)
