Certified Nurse Assistant : 

Certified Nurse Assistant Program Information Day - 3 week program – Classes start at 8:00am to 4:00pm Evening - 4 week program – Classes start at 4:30pm to 9:30pm What’s required? 90 clock hours of course training. (including laboratory with clinical) Punctuality Attendance Your Commitment This course specializes in the care of elderly patients. Preparing you to work in hospitals, nursing homes, and home healthcare agencies. The Nursing Assistant program is approved by the Michigan Department of Public Health. The state of Michigan requires Nursing Assistants to be certified. Graduates of this program are eligible to become certified after successful completion of the state certification examination.

Certified Patient Care Specialist (CPCS) : 

Certified Patient Care Specialist (CPCS) Program Information Day - 8 week program – Classes start at 9:00am to 3:00pm (1st two week are comprised of the CNA program. 8:00am start) Evening - 10 week program – Classes start at 4:00pm to 9:00pm What’s required? 230 clock hours of course training. Punctuality Attendance Your Commitment This course prepares you to work in hospitals, nursing homes, and home healthcare agencies. Upon successful completion of this program, students will receive a Certificate and a letter of completion and will be eligible to take the CNA certification examination through the State of Michigan Department of Community Health (Thompson Pro-Metric Examination). Students will also be eligible to take the National Certification examination through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Upon passing the Certification examination, students will receive the following three (3) certifications: Patient Care Technician Certification, Phlebotomy Technician Certification, EKG Technician Certification

Certified Phlebotomy Technician : 

Certified Phlebotomy Technician Program Information Day- 3 week program – Classes start at 9:00am to 3:00pm Evening - 4 week program – Classes start at 4:30pm to 9:30pm What’s required? 50 clock hours of course training. (labs included) 40 clock hours of practicum Punctuality Attendance Your Commitment

Certified Medical Administrative Assistant : 

Certified Medical Administrative Assistant Program Information Day - 14 week program – Classes start at 9:00am to 3:00pm 10 weeks of classroom training 4 weeks of externship working Evening courses currently not available What’s required? 300 clock hours of course training. 150 clock hours externship working 37.5 hours per week Punctuality Attendance Your Commitment

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) Program Information Day - 7 week program – Classes start at 9:00am to 3:00pm Evening courses currently not available What’s required? 120 clock hours of course training. 30 clock hours of laboratory work 60 clock hrs of internship Punctuality Attendance Your Commitment This course prepares you to work in independent pharmacies and in hospital pharmacies. Upon successful completion of this program, students will receive a Certificate and a letter of completion and will be eligible for the National Certification examination through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

Certified Medical Billing / Coding Specialist : 

Certified Medical Billing / Coding Specialist Program Information Day - 12 week program – Consisting of class training 4 weeks of externship work Evening courses currently not available What’s required? 420 clock hours of course training. 150 clock hours externship working approx. 37 hours per week Punctuality Attendance Your Commitment This course prepares you to work in an office or clinical setting. Upon successful completion of this program, students will receive a Diploma and a letter of completion and will be eligible for the National Certification examination through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

Student Requirements & Responsibilities: Doing Your Part To Impact Your Future. You are here to prepare to change your destiny, to become self sufficient as a medical professional. This choice has ample and flexible benefits at an accelerated class time that will allow the student (you) to become productive in a much shorter time than many other institutions. As with any rewards, there are responsibilities. You will be expected to adhere to the rules and regulations of the school, the same as you would at any place of employment. Punctuality and attendance are mandatory. Tardiness of 15 minutes for than three times will be consider a full day’s absence and must be made up on the student’s own time. Absences and tardiness are NOT acceptable during clinicals or externships. There are only three excusable absences: death of a close family member (ex: parents, children, spouse ) medical emergencies court dates or jury duty that cannot be rescheduled.

Students must provide documentation of any of the aforementioned reasons for excused absences for their permanent record. Emergency calls to students must come through the main desk. Infractions of any of the rules and regulations will be documented in writing and become a part of the students’ permanent record. Based on the circumstances these may become cause for expulsion from the program. Student rights and appeals process will be explained on the first day of class. ALL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO PRESENT proof of educational background, negative TB test, criminal background check and photo ID at the time of admission (NO EXCEPTIONS). Required classes necessitate additional immunizations as explained in the materials attached to your entrance questionnaire. We recommend that you have your immunizations taken care of before class starts. Pursuing your “shots” is NOT an excusable absence.
