The reasons that Fundamentalist Christianity is not the same as Conservative Christianity :The reasons that Fundamentalist Christianity is not the same as Conservative Christianity (No the 2 terms are definitely
not synonymous)
Reason Number 1 :Reason Number 1 Fundamentalists only accept the King James translation of the Bible, they believe that modern translations of the Bible are either inaccurate, or not inspired by God . This is one of their defining characteristics.
Reason 2 :Reason 2 Fundamentalists reject modern forms of music, whether they are secular or Christian in nature calling them “worldly and “sinful”. This means that they also reject Christian Contemporary Music (CCM), which most conservative Christians accept and embrace.
Reason 3 :Reason 3 Fundamentalist Christians live a lifestyle similar to religious groups such as the Jehovah’s witness, for example, their concept of “modesty” involves often wearing formal clothing, with women not allowed to wear pants or short dresses, (they often require dress length to be past the knees)
Reason 4 :Reason 4 Fundamentalists believe that that Conservative Christians are not “Bible Believing”, implying that they are not true Christians, or living an insincere form of Christianity. I have personally had a Fundamentalist pastor tell me that my Conservative Southern Baptist church was not a "Bible believing” church.
Reason 5 :Reason 5 Since Fundamentalists believe that Conservative Christians are not “Bible believing”, or true Christians, they do not associate often with Conservative Christians, unless they know them on a personal level. They often call Conservative Christians “Liberal”.
