COLONIAL VIRGINIA SLAVERY STATUTE (1705) XIX. “… I t is hereby enacted , that whatsoever English, or other white man or woman, being free, shall intermarry with a negro or mulatto man or woman, bond or free, shall, by judgment of the county court, be committed to prison, and there remain, during the space of six months, without bail or mainprize ; and shall forfeit and pay ten pounds current money of Virginia, to the use of the parish, as aforesaid .”


1880 In California , laws were implemented to prevent marriages between Chinese males and white females.


1883 The Supreme Court regulated interracial marriages in 'Pace' v. 'Alabama' ( 1883) deeming an Alabama law that forbade such a marriage constitutional.


1843 Massachusetts was the second state to pass the anti-miscegenation law


1871 Kinship between a white person and “others” was restricted throughout most states in the US.


1875 The constitution of N orth C arolina states: “All marriages between a white person and a person of negro descent to the third generation inclusive, are hereby forever prohibited.”


1912 The US constitution was amended to ban interracial marriage in ALL 50 states

1967 Loving vs. Virginia case: Mildred Jeter and Richard Loving were sentenced to prison because they violated the anti-miscegenation law

Unlike historical views, marriage between two individuals of differing races is fully accepted in Canadian civilization. Issues of the possible gene pool pollution no longer exists when it comes to the consummation of union. THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS OR MARRIAGE LAWS THAT DENY INTERRACIAL MARRIAGE!
