Current APPWAC : 

Current APPWAC an existing anemometer loan program with 4 – 20 meter towers, a new masters level renewable energy engineering program and existing BS and MS programs in Appropriate Technology, software licenses (windographer, wind pro, windcad, & ArcMap) necessary for analyzing wind data and the energy output of any turbine in the marketplace today; more than 5 years experience putting up met towers and wind turbines and providing related technical assistance throughout the state and region, an established small wind turbine R & D site, many tools needed to raise and lower towers and work on turbines, office established to conduct outreach and analytical work an established track record of work in the area of wind energy

WNCREI staff create wind maps for NC residences, conduct solar site assessments, create presentations and reports, and analyze data for the adoption of renewable energy technologies.
