Two West Virginia awards by US DOE’s “20% Wind Energy by 2030” To WVDOE, Marshall University and West Virginia University on overcoming West Virginia challenges, especially market impact issues (property values, siting and grid availability) and enhancing outreach and research activities through establishment of a Research Council To the Mountain Institute for reviewing barriers in the Appalachian Region such as land ownership, ecological/cultural factors, project scale, public policy and private business practices .
