Comments Posting comment... Premium member Presentation Transcript R.I.P Sam Hasler: R.I.P Sam Hasler “forever in our hearts”Who Sam was: Who Sam was S am was a quiet honest and caring person. He loved and was loved by all his friends and family SaSam and fishing: Sam and fishing Sam loved his fishing and nearly every weekend went with his dad Joe and his friendsSlide 11: Just before Christmas 2010 Sam started feeling unwell. He went to the doctors and was diagnosed with migraines.Slide 12: By Christmas day Sam was feeling slightly better although was still unable to eat his Christmas dinner. Around 9.30pm Sam fell asleep and when he was checked on wasn't breathing properly. An ambulance was called...Slide 13: Whilst in the ambulance he stopped breathing once and a further 3 times at hospital. However every time the doctors managed to restart his heart. Eventually they managed to stabilise Sam and he was transferred to ITU.Slide 14: Whilst in ITU the staff did everything they could to wake Sam back up. Late on boxing day Sam stopped breathing for himself and it was decided to do a brain function test. However it came back with no activity. He was given one last chance and they did another in the early hours of 27 th.Slide 15: The heartbreaking decision had to be taken to switch off the machines keeping Sam alive. Sam Passed away on the 27 th D ecember 2010Slide 23: It was found that Sam had been suffering from bronchial pneumonia and Sepsis- (a rare and lethal form of septicaemia)Slide 24: Sam’s friends and family have come together to set up the Sam Hasler Memorial Fund it is our aim to raise £50,000 to help provide essential life saving equipment for the intensive therapy unit at Norfolk and Norwich University hospital.Slide 25: Please please help us in our fundraising activities- it may be you who needs these machines next...R.I.P Sam Hasler <3: R.I.P Sam Hasler <3 11.12.1992-27.12.2010 You do not have the permission to view this presentation.
