PAV (Price Analysis Viewer) : 

PAV (Price Analysis Viewer) Management Overview

Purpose : 

Purpose Increase sales force effectiveness through improved distribution of mission-critical data Targeted to territory and district-level sales reps

Benefits : 

Benefits Puts price and volume side-by-side (extremely difficult for end users to do on their own) Extremely easy “three-click” functionality for computer-averse end user base Portable data (end users can disconnect from network after weekly update) Attractive and easy print-outs can be delivered/emailed to distributors for price and volume discussions Use of MS-Access completely invisible to end users (no intimidating “database” appearance to the system)

System Start-Up : 

System Start-Up No MS-Access icon (removes “database” feel for end user) End user can easily start application right from desktop instead of searching for file

Initial Log-In : 

Initial Log-In Click “yes” to update once per week Click “no” otherwise to go straight to reports No need to be connected to network unless updating

Security Check : 

Security Check Security managed through Visual Basic rather than built-in Access security (VB is much harder to break into) Determines which data and reports each user can access

Waiting Time : 

Waiting Time All waiting time happens up-front, allowing reports to load instantly Waiting message allows end user to know that his/her request is processing Background queries compile all necessary data

Main Menu : 

Main Menu Very simple, to match needs of end user base Pops up immediately if end user chooses not to update data Allows district managers and other high-level viewers to access more than one district

Reports : 

Reports End user can easily switch between summary and detail views Filter form opens on top of reports to allow for filtering data as well as switching back and forth between views Note: pricing hidden in all samples to preserve confidentiality

Report Filtering :

Detail Filtering Like summary view, detail view offers numerous filtering configurations Filtering helps prevent “analysis paralysis” by homing in on only the details needed by end user Note: pricing hidden in all samples to preserve confidentiality

Filter Functionality : 

Filter Functionality All selection boxes offer drop-downs with “predictive text” (fills in words as user types) After filtering, user can click Excel icon to easily export formatted report to Excel for additional data manipulation Note: pricing hidden in all samples to preserve confidentiality Export to Excel
