Tantad & RSB - Lisbon 2011 With over 200 accredited flashover-CFBT instructors, a drafting committee managing more than 30 educational materials available in 5 languages​​, Tantad is so far the only organized worldwilde group for structural firefighting instructors. The Tantad course is used in many countries with official validation of its contents. Each year, members most involved meet to discuss, review the past year and plan the work of the coming year. Last year's meeting (Canjuers - France) had laid the foundations of two teams attack methods. This year, the Regiment of Lisbon Fire Department (which celebrated its 616 year history) has agreed to host the meeting which was attended by firefighters from France, Belgium, Brazil, Portugal, Italy and Peru.

Presentations Tantad & RSB - Lisbon 2011 Some of the presentations made​​: fire service organization in Italy, the NAHF Peru Association (National Association of Hispanic Firefighters), tests of new use of containers, tactics (adapted from military concepts), temperatures below the protective equipment, etc.. A revision of the theory about structural fires, was also performed.

Flashover Exercices Exercises were conducted in an attack and in an observation containers. Tests were conducted to check the possibility of using fuels other than chipboard plates (test of weight and position). Tantad & RSB - Lisbon 2011

By next year... Tantad & RSB - Lisbon 2011 By next year, the drafting committee will work on the outcome of the meeting in Lisbon: construction plans for other containers, documents for new exercises ... New training of instructors will take place (France, Italy, Belgium, Argentina ...) thus promoting the extension of the group.
