Task 1 :
Task 1 Using the excel file (click on mountain table) you need to find out about the 8 highest mountains in the world.
Fill in the table, complete the tasks on the spreadsheet, print it off and hand in.
Task 2 :
Task 2 Open the picture of the world map, and look at the distances that there are between Everest and some large cities.
D- Using the distances on the map, create a table and show the total distance/ difference between the furthest and shortest/ create a leaflet on why you would want to visit Everest.
P/M- Convert the miles into Kilometres, and show how you have worked this out.
Task 3 :
Task 3 Everest Fact File.
D- Using template, come up with a fact file about Everest, using your research skills.
P/M- Produce a fact file about Nepal – in an accessible and understandable way using information from Where is Everest Factsheet. Find similar facts about the UK from the internet and compare the two countries in the form of a table. Make a concluding comment about the similarities and differences.
