What ANZAC Means To Me! Anzac day is a important day because we remember the solider who fought in Gallipoli. It is important that we remember this day because the soldiers risked their lives to make or generation a better, safer place. If it wasn’t for the soldiers that fought in the war the world wouldn’t be the place it is.

Why remember Anzac Day? We remember ANZAC day because... Of the brave men and women who have risked their lives to make a brighter world for their familys.

Word meanings. Poppy is a red and black flower. War a fight between two or more groups of people. Wreaths a bunch of flowers laid in remembrance. Memorial a bunch of people remembering someone or Something important. Medals are a token of achievement. Heroes someone you look up to. Gallipoli a place in Turkey. RSA  Return Services Army. Remembrance Day A day we remember the soldiers who fought in the war. Half Mast a flag is flown at half mast when an accident happens. WW1 means World War 1 WW2 means World War 2
