I read a book to my brother. ?What is the Indirect Object in the following Spanish sentences? María trae el postre a su amigo. Paco habla a mí. La profesora da una buena nota a ti. Pedro da los refrescos a las muchachas.

What happens if we want to replace the Indirect Object in these sentences with an Indirect Object Pronoun? Paco habla a mí. María trae el postre a su amigo. Pedro da (gives) los refrescos a las muchachas. La profesora da una buena nota a ti. We use an Indirect Object Pronoun!

Here are the steps for replacing the Indirect Object in our sentences with an Indirect Object Pronoun: What is the Indirect Object in the sentence? Pedro da (gives) los refrescos a las muchachas. Is the Indirect Object Singular or Plural? Plural What Indirect Object Pronoun can you replace the Indirect Object with? Les Rewrite your sentence, making sure that your Indirect Object Pronoun comes before the verb. Pedro les da los refrescos (a las muchachas).
