Need a Mini Mock Bar?:
Need a Mini Mock Bar? Many of us are involved in crafts shows, vendor fairs and the like and at times these are outside in extreme heat which will melt your chocolate. Most of us know all about the foam board used to make standard 1.55oz mock bars for display but what do we do when we want a mini chocolate bar for display? I’ll give you a quick how to on how to make one.
What you’ll need:
What you’ll need 1-Mini chocolate bar (pick your favorite) 1 foam mock bar board Double stick tape Now your next step, personally my favorite part, eat the chocolate bar! See why I said to pick your favorite? I like to use an original mini wrapper for my mock bar simply because it makes the process simple. You could however take a foil sheet or pouch and cut to size and wrap but why recreate something when you can use what you have!
Cut the Foam:
Cut the Foam Next you’re going to cut the foam and you’ll need to small pieces to stack on top of each other. The bottom piece of foam needs to be approx 1 ¾” wide x.97” and the top piece needs to be approx 1 3/8” by ¾” once you have those two piece cut use double stick tape to secure them together. The goal here is to get that beveled edge from top to bottom just like the actual chocolate and you can angle your scissors if needed to get the desired look in the wrapper.
Wrapping the Mock Bar:
Wrapping the Mock Bar Now your ready to place it face down, smallest piece of foam touching wrapper and then wrap following the folds of the original wrapper. I like to secure mine with double stick tape just so it stays together when I wrap it with a personalized wrapper.
Add your Personalized Wrapper:
Add your Personalized Wrapper At this point you know just what to do! Wrap your mock bar as you would a real mini bar and voila! You now have a cute little mini that will NOT melt. Happy Wrapping!
