Pyramids :
Pyramids Two of the major pyramids are la Dante and el Tiger. It also has the biggest pyramid that they have found. It is located north of Tikal. The whole city covers16 sq Kms approximately 70 meters (230 ft) tall from the forest floor.

The people first lived there in 2000 BC but many people have deserted and lived in it off and on . It is covered in many layers of vegetation, with trees sprouting from the rocky ruins It is the most recent discovered place in Guatemala. El mirador was first discovered in 1926. The people that lived there were Mayans .

f u n f a c t s ! Some interesting facts are that EL MIRADOR is considered the cradle of Mayan civilization. It was a large pre-Columbian Mayan settlement.
