The Police Unity Tour

“We Ride For Those Who Died”

The “Police Unity Tour” is a 300 mile bicycle ride that includes Officers and surviving family members from across the nation.

Slide 4:

The primary purpose of the “Police Unity Tour” is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty.

Slide 5:

The secondary purpose is to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial & Museum.

Slide 6:

The Memorial is a permanent reminder of the sacrifice of those that have died while serving our communities.

There were 161 law enforcement officers killed in the United States in 2010…

Slide 12:

Of those 161 Officers killed, 3 Officers were killed in Massachusetts…

Officer David T. Zolendziewski Holyoke Police Department Age : 53 End of Watch: February 11, 2010 Years of Service: 23 years Family left behind : Wife and 3 sons

Sergeant Douglas A. Weddleton Massachusetts State Police Age : 52 End of Watch: June 18, 2010 Years of Service: 28 years Family left behind : Wife and 4 sons

Officer John “Jack” Maguire Woburn Police Department Age: 60 End of Watch: December 26, 2010 Years of Service: 34 years Family left behind: Wife and 2 children

This will be my 4 th consecutive year riding in the Police Unity Tour. Although long and grueling, nothing compares to the sacrifices paid by our fallen Law Enforcement Officers. Please help support me on the ride by making even a small donation.
