THE BOOK OF PSALMS Introduction The book of Psalms is the largest and perhaps most widely used book in the Bible. This book has been called the heart of the Bible. One forth of the all the quotations in N T (40 out of 160) is taken from the book of Psalms. The Psalms start with “blessed is the man” And ends with “praise ye Jehovah”

CHARACTER OF PSALMS : 

CHARACTER OF PSALMS They are devotional They are experimental They are prophetical The word ‘Selah’ occurred in the body of many Psalms seem to have a musical interlude of some kind, perhaps a pause in the singing. Another view regards it as liturgical note marking and ascriptions of praise.
