Fossil Fuel :

Fossil Fuel By Jessica Phan

What is Fossil Fuel? :

What is Fossil Fuel? Fossil Fuel is a type of fuel that has bits and parts of organisms preserved in the rock Fossil Fuel also has high levels of carbon and hydrogen contents

What are the different types of fossil fuels? :

What are the different types of fossil fuels? There are three different types of fuel Coal- solid form of fuel( have been form over millions of years) Oil- liquid form of fuel( form from the remains of marine microorganisms) Natural gas- gas form of fuel( more clean than coal and oil and is form the same way as oil)

How is coal form? :

How is coal form? Coal is formed from remains of vegetations that grew 4 millions years ago. Its is often called “buried sunshine” The most important element in the plant is carbon( where coal gets most of its energy)

Describe the different stages of coal formation? :

Describe the different stages of coal formation? First the organic plant has go though the stages of decay before it can become coal Then the plant turns into a substances called peat Then under a certain pressure, heat and time it will evenually become coal

How is coal used as a fossil fuel? :

How is coal used as a fossil fuel? This solid fuel is used to make heat through combustion

How is oil is formed? :

How is oil is formed? Oil is formed for the remains animals and plants who lived long ago But unlike coal it is formed underwater

How is natural gas formed? :

How is natural gas formed? Its is formed the same way as coal and oil is form Then the pressure and heat changed the peat into coal or oil or natural gas Tiny bubbles of odorless gas

Describe the Exxon Valdez oil spill :

Describe the Exxon Valdez oil spill the Exxon Valdez is a oil tanker it was going to Long Beach, CA But it hit Prince William Sound’s Bligh reef Spilled 10.8 million of gallons of oil
