Idiom of the Day I had a ball. = I had a lot of fun. You can also say: I had a blast. Variations: We had a ball/ We had a blast. Did you have a ball?/ Did you have a blast? Example: A: Did you have a ball at the party last night? B: Yeah! I had so much fun. I had a blast!

Tolkien mentioned? Tolkien was influenced by the Kalevala. (Many its ideas are reflected in Tolkien’s stories) 4. Will the Kalevala disappear when Jussi Houvinen dies? Explain your answer.

8B: Once Upon a Time Where would you normally see the phrase, “once upon a time”? At the beginning of (folk) tales. You are going to read “The tale of the seven ravens”. What are ravens? What do they symbolize? -Large black birds (with a croaking cry) -They symbolize bad luck What do you think this tale is about?
