Deaf Interpreter :
Deaf Interpreter In the interpreting field, there are many interpreting jobs. I am interested in learning different sign languages. This is my career goal because I really enjoy working with people. I am friendly, enthusiastic, personable and honest. And my passion is to become a Deaf interpreter. It would give me a lot of pleasure to communicate with people who are Deaf, Hard of hearing and hearing. It is essential for clear understanding between all three people.
This is a job that requires college courses from the Deaf interpreter training program as well as more than two years of experience. I can earn a certificate in Deaf Interpreting from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf. I will need register and pass a test.
The average salary for a Deaf interpreter is $ 40.00 to 100.00 per hour. There are current openings for this job at all places where interpreting services are needed, either small or large. For example: courts, public school, business, etc. Deaf interpreters can translate from American Sign Language to Chinese Sign language to International Sign Language. The job outlook for interpreter is good.
I am currently studying to improve my English, Chinese and Japanese. I expect to go to San Diego Community College after finishing this school. I can transfer to a University in the U.S. or another country when I get an A.A degree. In the future, I will become an interpreter for Deaf and I hope to master six languages. My dream is to become a Deaf interpreter. I can support my family well and live a happy life.
