Google will sell the Nexus One, for $179 with a two-year contract from T-Mobile or unsubsidized for $529. Slide 11: Criticism : Reports indicate the display is not viewable in direct sunlight. Some users report that the Nexus One drops or is unable to use 3G service, even in areas where other Android phones access 3G successfully. Unlike the iPhone and the Motorola Droid, the Nexus One's calendar cannot synchronize with Microsoft Exchange, although calendar sync is possible with use of a "touchdown" app which can be downloaded from the app store. Slide 13: Google Nexus One vs Apple iPhone Slide 14: Google's mobile strategy isn't about flashy hardware it's all about generating money from advertising, just like in the traditional Internet. Google's move into mobile with Android and Nexus One isn't being done primarily to generate profits from hardware or software. Instead, it's to make sure that Google search and services dominates the mobile Internet in the same way it dominates the Internet now and displaying ads on the mobile platform.
