Education Fair Use : 

Education Fair Use Definition: Fair use is the right to use copyrighted material without permission or payment under some circumstances---especially when the cultural or social benefits of the use are predominant. I take this to mean that material that is used for purposes of making a profit (i.e. business, advertising) usually means paying a fee or obtaining permission whereas material used for education does not require you to do so.

Educational Fair Use Two key questions: Did the unlicensed use “transform” the material taken from the copyrighted work by using it for a different purpose than that of the original, or did it just repeat the work for the same intent and value as the original? Was the material taken appropriate in kind and amount, considering the nature of the copyrighted work and of the use? If the answer to both of these questions is yes, then you will be compliant with Educational Fair Use

When choosing photos and music I required them to use Creative Commons to ensure that the pictures were compliant with Educational Fair Use.
