Active Listening:

Active Listening Active listening is a structured form of listening and responding that focuses the attention on the speaker. Active listening has several benefits. it forces people to listen attentively to others. it avoids misunderstandings it tends to open people up, to get them to say more. If both parties in a conflict do this, the chances of being able to develop a solution to their mutual problem becomes much greater. It focuses on both feeling and content

Cycle of a good listener

Are you a good listener? Answer these questions honestly.:

Are you a good listener? Answer these questions honestly. Do you always take in what others say to you? Do you talk to people rather than at them? Do you let people finish speaking before you start? Do you respond to what they are saying or just wait to make your own point? Do you stay focussed on the speaker even if you don't like him/her?

REACT OR RESPOND:

REACT OR RESPOND “ To effectively communicate, we must realize that we are all different in the way we perceive the world and use this understanding as a guide to our communication with others. ”

Its only words…….:

Its only words……. Words have great power and should always be used carefully. Aloha, for example, should not just be seen as a frivolous greeting. “ Alo ” means the bosom or the centre of the universe, and “ ha ” the breath of god, so to say this word is to appreciate another person’s divinity.
