RESISTIVE REGULATOR THIS IS THE MOST COMMON TYPE IN HOUSEHOLD CELLING FANS .IT WORKS BY PROVIDING DIFFERENT TAPS ON A WIRE WOUND RESISTOR CONNECTED IN SERIES WITH THE FAN. ADVANTAGES . INDUCTIVE TYPE FAN REGULATOR An inductive type fan regulator has a tapping on the winding of the transformer and the inductive reactance is varied to achieve variation in speed. Advantages Low heat power dissipation. Disadvantages Low power factor. Quite costly. Heavy and bulky. NOTE:SPEED DECREASES WITH THE INCREASE IN THE NUMBERS OF TURNS OF THE INDUCTIVE COIL WINDING.

Basic Principle The main purpose here is to control the voltage acrossthe fan. As we know, the voltage across the capacitor is given by the formula V = Q/C where Q is the charge across the capacitor and C is the capacitance. According to the formula above, C 1/V . As C increases V decreases. Thus, the voltage across the fan increases. Therefore, the speed increases. So, by increasing the value of capacitor, the speed of the fan can be increased. Thus, by employing suitable combinations of capacitors a fan’s speed can be regulated. CAPACITVE TYPE FAN REGULATOR

짿 ᥹ Ceiling Fan Regulator- Motor Speed Control Circuit Diagram This is a simple ceiling fan regulator circuit diagram. It is used to control the speed of a ceiling fan. In the other words it is an AC motor speed controller circuit, as because it's control the speed of a AC motor(Ceiling Fan).  This ceiling fan regulator circuit built with few numbers of parts.
