Slide 2:Sonecast
Sonecast was launched in July 2006 and is based in Chapel Hill, NC.
Sonecast is a bootstrapped company, and was founded to help organizations leverage the social web for marketing and communications purposes. Our mission is to help clients transform the tangle of social networks and web 2.0 applications into effective lines of communication.
Our goal is to streamline and support our client’s social web-based online marketing campaigns. Our first application allows marketers and communicators to easily create “online venues” - aggregation sites for social web-based content about an event, brand, or product.
Online venues are places for audience engagement – end users can join online venues to comment on content or communicate with other participating users. Copyright 2008 Sonecast, Inc.
Slide 3:Overview
We are in the middle of the communications evolution. It’s hard not to be aware of the meteoric rise of social media and social networks, which collectively we call the “social web”. For professional communicators and marketers, the question is how to take full advantage of all of this stuff. What’s practical? What’s real?
Sonecast has developed a three-step process for social web-based online communications, called “sonecasting” (short for “social network broadcasting”).
Sonecasting: publish, aggregate, and engage.
Our current application supports both the aggregation and engagement steps. In addition, we provide consulting and content capturing services.
The following slides illustrate the sonecasting process and showcase screenshots from an online venue built using our application. The links to the demo are provided at the end of this power point. Copyright 2008 Sonecast, Inc.
